Studying Abroad: Is It Really Worth It??
Now.... I've been thinking about studying abroad since about the 4th grade simply because I wanted to have some kind of accent. Yes, I know this is childish, but what can I say? It was 4th grade. Now, I'm seriously considering seizing the opportunity to study in a land far far away, learn new things, and meet new types of people. However, I'm constantly reminded of the serious expenses that come with travelling. This, my friends, is what makes me a lot more hesitant. I intend to do more inquiring as to how I could obtain the greatest amount of financial aid possible... But I'm not sure exactly how I would go about doing that.

Yes, Nolon, travel is worth any associated hoops, and yes, the university does pay students to travel. Let me know how I can help. I want you to get out of town. ;-)

Yes it is! I am so doing it next summer. It will be great to learn about new experiences and people. I love traveling though. I have been so many places, but Ireland was the worse. I want to go to London to study the Holocaust museum they have there. And just think you can going shopping in another country!!!!

ReplyDeleteI'm going with "Yes!". I spent 3 weeks in China a few years ago and it was incredible. I definitely learned a lot. It definitely is expensive though. The study abroad department has some pretty sweet scholarships too.
