Stem Cell Research

I wasn't too sure on what to blog about at first until we got that nice, detailed tour of the limitless resources we have access to. While the librarian was browsing through the massive pool of controversial topics, I came across one that perked my interest: Stem Cell Research. Do the potentially lifesaving methods it can produce make it worth while? I say yes. Stem cell research can ultimately cure most of the most deadly and life threatening diseases like cancer, Alzheimer's, and diabetes. Being a diabetic myself, of course I'm all for the possibility of a cure. Diabetes is a freakin inconvenience. But I digress.... I'm interested to know what others think on the matter. Just different points of view. Whether you're in agreement with me or not isn't a big deal either.

That is all

  1. Whenever I hear about it, I always wonder why there isn't more of an emphasis on making this a more common practice/solution. Without checking, I'm assuming the reason is that it's expensive.

    *goes to check*

Good grief, its issues tie into abortion issues and bone marrow transplants. Not as simple as I thought.

Well I just learned something new lol.

  2. I think this sounds like a good topic. I am still in need of a topic. I had a lot written down, but really none I was absolutely passionate about I guess. This topic seems real interesting, but I do not know enough about it to disagree or agree with you. But of course, you will learn a whole lot when we start researching for our sources. Good Luck!
